Global Vin Inspect (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates an automated vehicle data intelligence and VIN verification platform. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, process, protect, and handle your personal data when you use our website, search vehicle records, and order history reports in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK Data Protection Act 2018, and applicable global privacy regulations.

2. Information We Collect

  • Vehicle Search Queries: 17-character VIN numbers, license plate numbers, vehicle category, and jurisdiction queries.
  • Customer & Contact Details: Full name, email address, telephone number (if provided), and inquiry communications.
  • Transactional & Billing Data: Payment transaction references, order IDs, and payment method tokens processed strictly via PCI-DSS Level 1 certified gateways. We do not store raw credit or debit card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical & Log Data: IP addresses, browser specifications, device identifiers, and security tokens used for fraud prevention.

3. Purpose of Processing & Lawful Basis

We process your data strictly to perform our contractual service obligations, generate automated vehicle history reports in under 60 seconds, cross-reference official transport licensing records, verify payment integrity, prevent stolen vehicle fraud, and fulfill statutory tax and legal accounting requirements.

4. Authoritative Registry Disclosures

We connect directly to authoritative official registries (including national licensing authorities, Police National Computer stolen databases, MIAFTR total-loss records, and automotive financial registers) to compile your certified vehicle audit. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to marketing third parties.

5. Bank-Grade Security & Data Retention

All data transmissions are encrypted using 256-Bit SSL/TLS protocols. Order records and report access tokens are maintained securely for your access and compliance audit periods.

6. Your Data Rights

Under data protection law, you have the right to access your personal data, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure, or object to processing. To exercise your rights, contact our Data Protection Officer at info@globalvininspect.uk.
